Faith in the UN Restored

The UN Commission on Human Rights was often criticized for consisting, in part, of nations with very questionable human rights records and for disproportionately targeting Israel in its condemnations.

In June 2006 the Commission on Human Rights was replaced by the UN Human Rights Council. This new UN entity fixed all the problems its predecessor had by consisting, in part, of nations with very questionable human rights records and by disproportionately targeting Israel in its condemnations.

I for one applaud the change. “Council” is a much easier word to spell than “Commission”.
